Hey everyone, my name is Emmaline Grace Good. This almost feels like a first date, even though I have only been on a handful. We do not know each other, but I want you to know as much about me in five hundred or words or so. Where do I even start? Well, I am from the Philadelphia suburbs, specifically a quaint little town called Glenside. The streets are lined with American flags and people (who you don’t even know) wave to you while walking their middle-sized dogs. It is a safe community that never truly pushed me outside of my comfort zone. I am the youngest of four and feel no shame in admitting I act like I am the youngest of four. I owe everything I am and have to my parents, Grace and Michael Good. I get my middle name from my mother, as well as my sensitivity, love for others, and bush-like hair. From my father, I get my light hair, my freckles, and my fiery outgoing personality. There is not a single person my father and I would not talk to. I grew up wanting to be my older sister, Brigitta. She is 26 now and has always somewhat resented me because I am the younger sibling; I got to listen to secular music earlier than her, I got a cellphone earlier than her, practically all the benefits of being the younger sibling, I got. Nevertheless, she was my idol. I would always go on daring missions into her closet to try and borrow some old clothes I hadn't seen her wear in a while. She played soccer, so I played soccer. She wore makeup, so I wore my makeup exactly like her. She is the oldest, and in the middle are my two brothers, Christian and Jacob. Christian is bold and has always taught me to speak my mind while simultaneously picking my battles. Jacob is almost too insignificant to mention, but that is a story for another post. I guess all I should say for now is that we do not get along. My family is a huge part of who I am, but they do not define me.

My passions include helping people and pottery. I want to be a Physician’s Assistant and I am intending to major in Emergency Medicine here at Pitt. Pottery and art are what really gets me through the rigorous course load of a Pre-Health undergraduate student. I also love talking to people and learning about their lives. I mostly ask about their culture, background, and sometimes religion if I am feeling bold. Studying from a textbook is one thing, but I believe humans have so much more to teach each other then we can possibly know. My cat Rosey is my best friend. Listening to show tunes also helps me cope, as well as myriad of different genres of music from hip-hop to alternative music. I have worked at three different ice-cream shops throughout the years. I love playing sports, although I am not very good at any. I am just super competitive. I would beat you if we played Egyptian Ratscrew, guaranteed. I love to travel, but who doesn’t. Nowadays, my activities include, working, studying, sleeping, and eating, not particularly in that order. I can’t wait for you guys to get to know me deeper as this blog progresses.
